Hello live music friends,
here we are again, this time with our own composition. The topic of “instagram - and our sometimes very twisted world” has always been very close to my heart. There was also a personal experience with someone who was seemingly completely disconnected from their digital self. After a long conversation - as is the case with lyrics among songwriters - the first lines were written in an ice cream parlor. Kerstin and Denis were the perfect writing partners for this text. Since I already knew Kerstin Breuer from several collaborations (Unlimited - the broken tribunal (rock opera) as well as a team member at VIEL KLANG) and her “cheeky” and humorous manner perfectly suited this song, she was the first choice as a singer. So what was initially very funny settlement with the insta world somehow turned into a song. When the layout was ready, it quickly became clear to me that it had to be a hit here. Christoph was the perfect bass player again. My buddy Marco Lehnertz, who played with Jupiter Jones, for example, brings something more special, and a lot of calm and experience in rock.
So there was a great rock band with a lot of studio experience, which was able to implement live what Denis, Markus and I imagined.
Since Robin couldn't this time, Maurice joined the team and took over the video part. Good work!
You can find the text of the song below.
Hope you like it! :-)

■ ABOUT THE RURTONSESSION ■■■■■■■■■■■
The rurtonsession is a new series of live sessions straight from the rurtonstudio. Denis Sarp (drums), Marcel Stoffels (vocals, guitar, musical direction) and Markus Wimmer (sound engineering, rurtonstudio) repeatedly invite guest artists who either perform their own song or a cover song live. Without much preparation, we try to convey a real live feeling and give insights into our way of working.
Technically it looks like that we select one from several live takes and don't overdubs. It is a matter close to our hearts to keep everything authentic and to forego edits.
As you hear it here, it took place. Unfiltered, without make-up, by us for you.
Have fun
Denis, Marcel and Markus
