Better World - 3 Parts,
7:30 a.m. live recording,
A big challenge,
Toto! When I hear this band name, my heart becomes warm. The reason I became a musician. Jeff Porcaro and Simon Phillips - the legendary Toto drummers and absolute role models for me.
I thank the rurtonsession guys for making an absolute dream come true for me and for recording this number LIVE with me. 06/30/2019 - What a day!
The band:
Marcel Stoffels (Vocals / AK-Git.) -
no words needed, my companion!
Marc Rohles (keyboards) -
You young god! ;) Old Toto fanatic!
Christoph Chudaska (bass) -
"What is Better World?" ... Now you know;)
Pablo Ludwig (E-Git.) -
Love your solo! ... Check it out from 4:40!
Denis Sarp (Drums) -
Yours truly ... @Simon Phillips: Did my best!
It was great fun and our small contribution to a "better world" ...
Love & Peace

■ ABOUT THE RURTON SESSION ■■■■■■■■■■■
The rurtonsession is a new series of live sessions straight from the rurtonstudio. Denis Sarp (drums), Christoph Chudaska (bass), Marcel Stoffels (vocals, guitar, musical direction) and Markus Wimmer (sound engineering, rurtonstudio) regularly invite guest artists who either perform their own song or a cover song live. Without much preparation, we try to convey a real live feeling and give insights into our way of working.
Technically it looks like that we select one from several live takes and don't overdubs. It is a matter close to our hearts to keep everything authentic and to forego edits.
As you hear it here, it took place. Unfiltered, without make-up, by us for you.
Have fun
Denis, Chris, Marcel and Markus
